Bodegas Marqués de Reinosa has rounded off an exceptional season of accolades with five awards across three leading competitions: the Fundación Caja Rioja Competition for Small-Scale Producers’ and Local Wines, the Manojo Awards organised by Cooperativas Agro-alimentarias de España, and the Brussels World Wine Competition. This haul of awards reaffirms, once again, this Rioja-based cooperative’s unwavering commitment to quality and the authentic expression of the region.

Three second prizes in the Caja Rioja Foundation Competition
The Small-Scale Winegrowers’ and Village Wines Competition, organised by the Caja Rioja Foundation and CaixaBank, is one of the most long-standing events on the Rioja wine scene, a showcase that each year highlights the work of the region’s winegrowers and the richness of their wines. In this latest edition, Marqués de Reinosa was the winery with the strongest presence amongst the award winners, securing three second prizes in different categories, confirming its versatility and the quality of its entire range.
In the small-producer white wine category, the Marqués de Reinosa Garnacha Blanca 2025 took second prize. This wine, made from the indigenous Garnacha Blanca variety grown in the cooperative’s own vineyards in Autol, faithfully expresses the character of a grape that has gained prominence in La Rioja in recent years due to its freshness, its unique aromatic profile and its ability to adapt to the soils of La Rioja. A vibrant and distinctive white wine that the jury has recognised.

Second prize in the off-trade rosé wine category went to the Marqués de Reinosa Rosado 2025, a wine that reflects the winery’s expertise in managing short-cycle grape varieties and in producing fresh, expressive wines with an elegant visual appeal. This rosé, true to Marqués de Reinosa’s commitment to wines meant for immediate enjoyment with their own distinct character, has once again won over the tasting panel with its balance of fruit and acidity.
Finally, in the ‘Vino de Pueblo’ category, the second prize went to the Marqués de Reinosa Reserva Tempranillo Colección Privada 2022, a wine that bears the name ‘Autol’ in its very DNA. This wine, part of the winery’s Private Collection range, is the ultimate expression of the region’s Tempranillo, having undergone careful ageing that blends the oak with the fruit and lends the wine a structure and depth that make it one of the winery’s flagship wines. Winning recognition in the Vinos de Pueblo category with this wine is not merely an accolade for a single wine; it is a tribute to the terroir of Autol.

Gold and Silver Awards at the Spanish Agri-Food Cooperatives Competition
The Manojo Awards, organised by Cooperativas Agro-alimentarias de España, are one of the most prestigious competitions amongst the country’s cooperative wineries. Their national scope and the high standards set by their tasting panel make them a reliable barometer of quality within the sector. And Marqués de Reinosa has once again performed very well.
In this edition, the winery has won two top honours: the Manojo de Oro for the Marqués de Reinosa Garnacha Colección Privada 2024 and the Manojo de Plata for the Marqués de Reinosa Reserva Tempranillo Colección Privada 2022, the same wine that had previously been recognised in the Fundación Caja Rioja competition, which only serves to underline the consistency and excellence of this wine wherever it competes.

The Manojo de Oro Garnacha Colección Privada 2024 is particularly noteworthy, as it is the most recent vintage in this range and demonstrates that the winery is not resting on its laurels following previous vintages, but is continuing to improve and refine its wines. Red Grenache is one of Marqués de Reinosa’s key varietal focuses; a grape variety that, in the Autol area and the Rioja Baja region, finds exceptional conditions for producing wines with great character, featuring ripe fruit, generous body and an unmistakable identity.
Grand Gold at the Brussels World Competition
If there is one accolade that transcends borders and speaks the universal language of quality, it is the Brussels World Wine Competition. Regarded as one of the world’s most important and rigorous wine competitions, it brings together thousands of wines from every corner of the wine-producing world each year. Winning a medal in Brussels is synonymous with having passed the scrutiny of a jury of international experts with the highest standards.
In this edition, the Marqués de Reinosa Crianza 2023 has won nothing less than the Grand Gold medal, the competition’s highest honour. This extraordinary accolade places this wine amongst the elite of Spanish crianzas assessed on a global scale. Marqués de Reinosa’s Crianza has, for many years, been the winery’s flagship wine: a crianza Tempranillo that combines the traditions of La Rioja with careful ageing in oak, resulting in an elegant, balanced wine whose expressiveness leaves no palate indifferent. The Grand Gold medal from Brussels attests to the fact that this fine work has gained global recognition.
A winery in top form
Five awards in three competitions at different levels — regional, national and international — over the course of a single season is an achievement that goes far beyond mere coincidence. It is the direct result of constant hard work in the vineyard, a firm commitment to quality in every bottle, and a team that has spent decades showcasing the very best that Autol and La Rioja have to offer.
At Marqués de Reinosa, we continue to work with the same passion as always, guided by the land and with quality as our goal. These awards fill us with pride and encourage us to keep growing.
